Recite the following incorporated with action:

This is my hand, this is my hand. These are my hands.

This is my foot, this is my foot. These are my feet.

Clap, clap. Stomp, stomp.

This is my eye. This is my eye. These are my eyes.

This is my ear. This is my ear. These are my ears.

Look, look. Listen, listen.

Then sing “This Is Me”. It’s available on Everybody Up 1 , Track # 40.

Lesson proper:

1. Introduce numbers from 1-10. Call out a student to arrange the numbers from 1-5, then 6-10. Give 3 stars to them.

2. Let each student pronounce properly the numbers 5 and 6.

3. Paste on the board your cut-out animals- cows, dogs, chicks, butterflies and caterpillars. Name them one by one. Count how many animals are in each group.

Board work:

Count then write how many “cows” on the box provided. Here’s what my Anuban 2 did:

Call out a student to trace her/his hands. Call out another one to write numbers 1-5 on each finger. Another one will write numbers 6-10 on the fingers.

Worksheet time:

The worksheet for the day appears almost the same with the board work. Guide the group on what to do. You can also ask the Thai teacher to further explain in Thai.

Optional: If you still have remaining time (even 3 minutes) you can introduce a new song and sing “How many”
