Amidst the high-tech way of promoting business nowadays via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, I still believe that business cards or calling cards remain popular in business promotion even though they are simple and low-tech. Either you print your own business cards or avail the service of business card printing online , make sure that your business card represents your company or service well , and provides vital information about the business and its members. Even though your business has already established its own website, don’t forget that your business cards complement with your other more modern marketing methods. Business cards encourage potential customers to make contact and receive additional product information.

Do you think that you can do whatever you like in small things, and be ok as long as you’ve no major lapses? No. Whether you steal ten cents or a million dollars, you’re still a thief. The Oxford Dictionary defines integrity as – honesty. Every time you break a moral principle it becomes harder, not easier, to act with integrity. Everything you’ve done in the past, including the things you’ve neglected to do, comes to a head when you’re under pressure. That’s why developing integrity requires constant vigilance.

Here are ways to keep your integrity:

(1) Keep your promises. When you make a promise you create hope. When you keep a promise you create trust.

(2) Acknowledge your mistakes. When your decisions don’t turn out the way you intended, you owe people an explanation.

(3) Apologize and try to make amends. When your actions hurt others, you need to admit that what you did was wrong and say you’re sorry. This is usually very painful in the moment. But not only is it the right thing to do, it can actually shorten the agony and help you to put the incident behind you.

My husband warned me not to use cotton swabs on cleaning our son’s ear. Why? If you use it on children, the tendency is you push the wax backwards and pack it against the eardrum. An ENT doctor who treated my friend’s ear infection before told us that earwax is a normal, protective coating and does not need to be removed. It’s hard to believe that our ears can do self-cleaning but it does. Gravity and body heat will eventually pull accumulated wax (and other debris) toward the ear opening. What we just need to do is to remove any visible wax (of course, it’s unappealing!) just from the ear canal opening. We don’t need to refrain from digging in there with cotton swabs.

So, what do we used to clean our ears? We used safe ear curettes. It’s a small, curved instrument like a spoon to remove earwax at the outer part of our ears. But we’re thinking of buying our own welch allyn otoscope. A mommy blogger testifies that it is a very easy task to learn and well worth the $30 or so investment. With it you can check your children’s ears when in doubt about an ear infection. It will save you needless trips to the doctor. You can catch ear infection early. You can check by yourself if the earwax is causing hearing loss. This gadget is what every mom should have!

Every Saturday , the Filipino young people in our church volunteer to teach free English to interested Thai young people as well as offering free music classes. For music class, one handles the acoustic guitar lessons while my hubby teach basic lessons on drums. So far, for a month already, the students are learning fast in English and music. One student already play the acoustic guitar during Praise and Worship service. The other one could play the Tama Drums when hubby is not around. We’re happy that on our own little ways we can serve the Thai young people for the glory of God.

(Scripture : Genesis 3:1-24)
God created rules to keep us safe. These rules have been in place since the beginning when God first created the world. It is important to follow the rules to stay safe, and learned how something very bad happened when Adam and Eve didn’t follow God’s rules. Dear boys and girls , God has a set of rules that people are to follow as well. When people follow God’s rules the world is much better place. When we don’t follow God’s rules, it’s called sin.

There are certain rules in the family, school and church . It’s so important to follow them. Like Adam and Eve, there are consequences and punishment when someone does not follow the rules. Rules are only made to keep children safe and rules are meant to be followed. Most of all, it’s because of LOVE why PARENTS, TEACHERS and ELDERS set certain rules for children.

Memory Verse:

“Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not ignore it.” Proverbs 8:33

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for the rules You have set for me. Even though I might not always understand why You have the rules, I do thank You for when You show me that I am doing what is right. Help me follow my parents’ rules so that I can show them that I also love and respect them. Amen.

Activities to supplement the lesson:

1. Game: “Red Light, Green Light”

Children line up in a horizontal line facing you. You will stand at the opposite side of the room and call out “Green Light” or “Red Light”. When you say green light the children move towards you, when you call red light they must stop. The first child to reach you wins. A child must go back to the starting line if they continue to move forward once you’ve called red light.

Once the game is finished ask them if it would have been the same without rules. Would the game have been as interesting without rules? Explain that it is much the same in real life, rules and laws make life much better.

2. Crafts (optional depending on our time)

CLOSING prayer and SNACK TIME

Stay blessed in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

My school is one of the best preschools here in Hatyai City. It’s a private school owned and managed by a family of educators. About 30 years ago, it started with 1 room with 20 preschoolers. Now, it has already three four-storey buildings both for preschoolers and elementary. Based on my observation, it’s not really easy to manage a school. Every year as the school starts, the school buy a truck load of new educational toys, yoga mats for kids, tables, chairs, school supplies, books and a lot more! They also purchase all necessary things for the kitchen as the school caters the students lunch. Boxes of fresh milk is also delivered in school because everyday each student must drink milk. These are just few basic things needed if you run your own school. I hope one of these days, I’ll be running my own school.

May 7, 2013 is the start of our school year. Yesterday, I helped the preschool teacher in K1 section 7 in welcoming 36 new pupils. There were 4 of us that assisted the adviser.Imagine the scenario of first day of school of preschooler. It’s total chaos! It’s crying here and there when it’s time for parents to leave the room. There were about 2 students in our classroom who cried from 8:00 to 12:00 noon!

Based on my experience, it takes 2-5 days for preschoolers to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. I appreciate those kids who managed to wave goodbye and smile on first day of school. For my son, it took him a month to wave goodbye when I left him with the adviser.

Today is another day to face the challenge of calming down the nerves of the preschoolers. Wish us good luck:)

For my brother, when he faced challenges in life, he calmed down by playing his guitar or hohner harmonica. If I have my own guitar, I wanna strum it and play with it when boredom strikes. We all know there are many benefits to playing an instrument — it acts as a stress buster, it helps improve your concentration level and more.

I wonder why the beautiful doodle shows various forms of wildlife like butterflies, caterpillars, a lizard, and more. By simply clicking on the image, you’ll know why. Today, April 2, Google is celebrating German naturalist Maria Sibylla Merian’s birthday- 366th birthday to be exact. She’s not only a naturalist but also a gifted scientific illustrator who studied plants and insects and made detailed paintings about them.

She died in January 13, 1717 after suffering a stroke a couple of years earlier.
